OVERVIEW
The Chattala needed a platform capable of serving hyperlocal communities with real-time listings, marketplace transactions, and social engagement — all under unpredictable traffic spikes. Inievo Labs architected a modular Next.js frontend with edge caching, a PostgreSQL core with read replicas, and event-driven background workers to keep the experience fast at scale.
CHALLENGES
- Hyperlocal listings and marketplace flows had to feel instant on mobile networks.
- Traffic spikes during community events could overwhelm a monolithic architecture.
- Culture-rich content needed a fast, searchable experience without sacrificing warmth.
- The product had to scale as new neighborhoods and vendors joined the platform.
SOLUTION
- Modular Next.js application with edge caching for high-read community pages.
- PostgreSQL data layer with read replicas and tuned indexing for listings search.
- Event-driven background workers for notifications, moderation, and async jobs.
- Mobile-first UI with performance budgets and progressive enhancement.
IMPACT
- A production-ready hyperlocal hub anchored in Chittagong's community identity.
- Architecture designed to absorb traffic spikes without degrading core flows.
- Sub-second perceived load on key community and marketplace templates.
- Foundation for Inievo Labs to iterate on real community feedback.
KEY OUTCOMES
- Modular Next.js stack with edge caching for predictable performance under event traffic
- PostgreSQL read replicas and asynchronous workers supporting listings and marketplace scale
- Mobile-first experience aligned to regional community and commerce workflows
